EMGLCA was informally created in 1998 to represent the public high school girl’s lacrosse programs in Eastern Massachusetts. On January 1, 2005 EMGLCA became a recognized and certified organization which now represents over 120 programs.

The main purpose of the EMGLCA is to gather and distribute information to member programs via a board consisting of elected representatives from each recognized league.  League Representatives serve as the voices for the nearly twenty individual leagues and over one hundred participating high schools at annual EMGLCA meetings, All Star selections, and MIAA seeding meetings.

EMGLCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote girl’s lacrosse by providing a network of information and education to member coaches.  The EMGLCA is committed to unify, develop and represent Eastern Massachusetts public girl’s lacrosse players and coaches.
