Board committees exist to make a board more effective by dividing complex responsibilities into focused groups that can study issues in depth, provide informed recommendations, and improve oversight.

- Strategic Planning Committee
Responsibilities of the Fundraising/Scholarship Committee include:
- Strategy & Planning
- Develop an annual fundraising plan aligned with the association’s mission and budget goals
- Identify revenue opportunities tied to lacrosse events, clinics, tournaments, and coaching education programs.
- Create a calendar of campaigns (seasonal drives, events, alumni outreach, etc.).
- Sponsorship Development
- Research and identify potential sponsors
- Draft sponsorship proposals and outreach materials.
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, and in‑person meetings.
- Fundraising Campaign Execution
- Coordinate fundraising tied to lacrosse events (tournaments, showcases, jamborees).
- Manage online fundraising platforms (donation pages, peer‑to‑peer campaigns).
Responsibilities of the Coaches Education Committee include:
- Develop Curriculum for Coaches and Programs
- Plan and deliver coaching clinics and/or workshops
- Organize ongoing learning opportunities: webinars, guest speakers, specialty clinics.
- Develop or select training materials, manuals, videos, and assessment tools.
- Provide resources on leadership, communication, and athlete development.
- Promote Coach and Program Advocacy
- Identify policy issues affecting lacrosse coaches (e.g., safety mandates, season length, facility access).
- Monitor changes in rules, safety standards, and governing‑body policies (e.g., USA Lacrosse, NFHS)
- Mentorship
- Serve as a liaison between coaches, administrators, and the board.
- Provide clear communication about training opportunities, deadlines, and requirements.
- Gather feedback from coaches to inform committee decisions.
Responsibilities of the Strategic Planning Committee include:
- Guide Long‑Term Vision for the Sport and the Association
- Shape a multi‑year vision for how the association supports coaches and student-athletes in Eastern Massachusetts
- Ensure the association’s mission reflects the evolving needs of coaches and the lacrosse community.
- Design and oversee the strategic planning process (typically every 3–5 years).
- Strengthen Member Value
- Recommend new programs, benefits, awards, or services that support and encourage membership.
- Explore digital tools, online learning, and community‑building platforms.
- Support Organizational Alignment
- Ensure annual budgets, events, and initiatives reflect strategic priorities.
- Work with committees to align their work with the strategic plan.
